Unstaged

The colours on the bed were dated and as this was the focal point of the room, it did not feel inviting. Notice the tiny lamp and the night table which were the wrong scale for the room and for the size of the bed. There was nothing on the other side of the bed, so the room felt lopsided.

Staged

The table now on the right side of the bed was being used elsewhere in the room. By placing it beside the bed and putting the other table on the left side, we now have balance. We painted the room a neutral colour for warmth and rented matching lamps. By adding bedding in trendy colours and fluffy pillows, the room is now pulled together with a more elegant feel.
